§ 3-9-11 Civil liability for adulteration Unlawful homicide. Any person who, by the use of wood alcohol or other similar substance,adulterates any liquid intended to be used as a drink by a human being, isliable in treble damages to any person who consumes that adulteratedpreparation which the party consuming that adulterated preparation suffers. Ifthe party consuming that adulterated preparation dies within one year afterconsuming that adulterated preparation, as a result of the consumption, theparty guilty of the adulteration is deemed guilty of unlawful homicide in anydegree in which the jury trying the case finds.
