§ 28-7-7 Compensation and expenses ofmembers Provision of assistance. The compensation for members of the board shall be established by theunclassified pay plan board. The director of labor and training is authorizedand directed to provide the board with any clerical, legal and other assistancethat shall be necessary to permit the board to perform its duties as providedin this chapter. The reasonable and necessary traveling and other expenses ofthe members of the board while actually engaged in the performance of theirduties shall be paid from the state treasury upon the audit and warrant of thecontroller, upon vouchers approved by the director of labor and training andthe chairperson. The board shall have the authority to select its own legalcounsel consistent with available funds and the counsel shall work at thedirection of the board.
