§ 28-41-14 Disqualification by convictionof fraud. (a) An individual who has been convicted by a court of competent jurisdictionof knowingly or fraudulently making a false statement, or knowingly orfraudulently misrepresenting a material fact, with intent to defraud thetemporary disability insurance fund of any benefit or wrongfully to obtain orincrease any benefit, either for himself or herself or for any other person,shall be disqualified from receiving benefits for a period of one yearfollowing that conviction.
(b) This disqualification shall be imposed by the directorand shall be in addition to any criminal penalty which may be imposed under anyother provision in chapters 39 41 of this title.
