§ 28-27-1.1 Inspection and right of entry. (a) The division of professional regulation, department of labor and training,has the authority, by its chief administrator or designates, upon properidentification and in the performance of his or her duties, to enter at anyreasonable hour any building, structure, or premises where mechanical work isbeing performed, which work is governed by this chapter, to ascertaincompliance with this chapter and the rules and regulations of the division.
(b) If any owner, occupant, or other person refuses, impedes,inhibits, interferes with, restricts, or otherwise obstructs entry and freeaccess to any part of the building, structure, or premises by an authorizedinvestigating official of the division/ mechanical board, the chiefadministrator may:
(1) Seek from any judge of the district court a searchwarrant in accordance with chapter 5 of title 12;
(2) Revoke or suspend any license, permit, or otherpermission regulated by local and state codes, and applicable to this chapter;notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter;
(3) Seek any other remedy as provided by this chapter.
