§ 27-66-9 Reports, use of experts, costs. The department of business regulation and/or the department of the attorneygeneral may, in effectuating the purposes of this chapter engage experts orconsultants including, but not limited to, actuaries, investment bankers,accountants, attorneys, or industry analysts. All copies of reports prepared byexperts and consultants, and costs associated with them, shall be madeavailable to the transacting parties and to the public. All costs incurredunder this provision shall be the responsibility of one or more transactingparties in an amount to be determined by the director as he or she deemsappropriate. No application for a conversion made pursuant to the requirementsof this chapter shall be considered complete unless an agreement has beenexecuted with the director for the payment of costs in accordance with thissection.
