SECTION 27-14.5-2
§ 27-14.5-2 Jurisdiction, venue, and courtorders. – (a) The court considering applications brought under this chapter shall havethe same jurisdiction as a court under chapter 14.3 of this title.
(b) Venue for all court proceedings under this chapter shalllie in the superior court for the county of Providence.
(c) The court may issue any order, process, or judgment thatis necessary or appropriate to carry out the provisions of this chapter. Noprovision of this chapter providing for the raising of an issue by a party ininterest shall be construed to preclude the court from, on its own motion,taking any action or making any determination necessary or appropriate toenforce or implement court orders or rules, or to prevent an abuse of process.
