§ 25-2-42 Rhode Island Hero's Day. –The second Thursday in May shall annually be set apart as a day to be known as"Rhode Island Hero's Day." The day is to be observed by the general assembly inrecognition of a Rhode Island resident who has saved a human life and/orperformed an act of heroism which merits any recognition determined by jointresolution of the general assembly.
