§ 2-7-20 Constitutionality. – If any clause, sentence, paragraph, or part of this chapter shall for anyreason be judged invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the judgmentshall not affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this chapter but shallbe confined in its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, or partdirectly involved in the controversy in which the judgment has been rendered.
