§ 2-16-7 Compensation for loss ordestruction of infested plants. – No damages shall be awarded to the owner for the loss or destruction ofinfested or infected plants, plant products, or other articles or reimbursementmade for expenses incurred incident to the application of the prescribedpreventive or remedial measures. The infected or infested plants, plantproducts, or articles are a public menace. Nothing in this section shall beinterpreted as preventing financial assistance to owners where that financialassistance is provided for under specific legislation other than this chapter.
