SECTION 19-12-3

   § 19-12-3  Clerical assistance – Legalassistance. – The receiver or receivers are authorized to employ any clerical assistance asmay be necessary, at the expense of the financial institution or credit unionunder receivership; but the duties of receivership shall be discharged by thereceiver or receivers, as part of their official duties. The receiver mayappoint one or more special deputies to act for him or her, and may appointclerks, assistants, agents, accountants and legal counsel as he or she deemsnecessary. The receiver may grant powers of attorney to execute, acknowledgeand deliver all documents that may be necessary for the transfer of assets orassumption of liabilities. The compensation of the persons appointed by thereceiver and the expenses of taking possession of the financial institution orcredit union and conducting the receivership proceeding, shall be fixed by thereceiver, and shall be paid out of the funds or assets of the financialinstitution or credit union.
