§ 17-20-6.2 Designation of single stateoffice to provide information on registration and absentee ballot proceduresunder the Help America Vote Act. – The secretary of state is designated as the single state office responsible forproviding information regarding voter registration procedures and absenteeballot procedures under Section 702 of the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (P.L.107-252) [see 42 U.S.C. § 1973ff-1(a) and (b)] and shall beresponsible for the coordination of the state of Rhode Island'sresponsibilities under that section.
