§ 17-19-42 Tampering with votingequipment. – Any person, not being an election or primary officer or person upon whom a dutyis imposed by this chapter, who, while any voting equipment is being made readyfor an election or primary, or is in use during an election or primary, tamperswith, disarranges, defaces, injures, or impairs the voting equipment in anymanner, or mutilates, injures, destroys, or disarranges any computer ballot, orany other appliance used in connection with the voting equipment, shall beguilty of a felony.
