§ 17-15-2 Regular primary date falling onreligious holiday. – In the event that the date for the holding of any primary election precedingany general state or municipal election as provided in this chapter falls uponthe day of a religious holiday, the primary shall be held upon the nextbusiness day, other than Saturday, then following; provided, that nothingcontained in this section shall be deemed to invalidate a primary election onceheld.
