§ 16-32-2 Continuation of powers of board.– The change in name shall in no way affect the powers and duties of the board ofgovernors for higher education defined in chapter 59 of this title; and theboard of governors for higher education shall be responsible for the control,management, and operation of the University of Rhode Island in the same manneras previously it was responsible for the control, management, and operation ofit under the name of Rhode Island State College.
