§ 15-29-5 Employer sanctions. An employer may be subject to a one hundred dollar ($100) fine or otherpenalties under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, of 1974, 29 U.S.C.§ 1001 et seq., for discharging an employee from employment, refusing toemploy, or taking disciplinary action against any employee because of medicalchild support withholding or for failing to withhold income or transmit thewithheld amounts to the applicable plan(s) as the medical notice directs.
