SECTION 11-7-8

   § 11-7-8  Accepting bribe to obtainpreferential military treatment. – Any person obtaining anything of value from a spouse, parent, or other bloodrelative of any citizen of this state in the armed forces of the United Statesor subject to the Military Selective Service Act, 50 U.S.C. App. § 451 etseq., by claiming that he or she has obtained, can or will obtain for thatcitizen any exception, deferment, promotion, leave, furlough, preference,change of duty or place of service or the like, shall be guilty of a felony,and upon conviction shall be imprisoned not less than five (5) nor more thantwenty-five (25) years.
