§ 11-52-5 Penalties. – (a) Any person who is convicted of an offense which is classified as a felonyunder this chapter shall be fined not more than five thousand dollars ($5,000),or imprisoned for not more than five (5) years, or both.
(b) Any person who is convicted of an offense which isclassified as a misdemeanor under this chapter shall be fined not more thanfive hundred dollars ($500), or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both.
