§ 11-19-14.1 Bookmaking at racetrack orfronton – Entry by convicted bookmakers prohibited. – (a) Notwithstanding the provisions of § 11-19-14, any person who shallengage in bookmaking activities while on the premises of a racetrack or frontonfacility shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction, shall be punished bya fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) and/or imprisonment notexceeding five (5) years.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person who has beenconvicted of the crime of bookmaking in the state of Rhode Island or otherstate to enter or visit any racetrack or fronton facility and, upon conviction,that person shall be punished by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars($500) and/or imprisonment not exceeding one year.
