The original and ultimateright to all property, real or personal, within the limits of this state is in the state.54-01-02. When property escheats. All property, real and personal, within the limits ofthis state, which does not belong to any person or to the United States, belongs to the state.<br>Whenever the title to any property fails for want of heirs or next of kin, it reverts to the state.54-01-02.1.
