§94‑8. Approval of apprentice agreements; signatures.
No apprentice agreement underthis Chapter shall be effective until approved by the Director. Everyapprentice agreement shall be signed by the employer, or by an association ofemployers or an organization of employees as provided in G.S. 94‑9, andby the apprentice, and if the apprentice is a minor, by either of the minor'slawful parents, or by any person, agency, organization or institution standingin loco parentis. Where a minor enters into an apprentice agreement under thisChapter for a period of training extending into his majority, the apprenticeagreement shall likewise be binding for such a period as may be covered duringthe apprentice's majority.
