§ 90‑9.4. Requirementsfor licensure as an anesthesiologist assistant.
Every applicant for licensureas an anesthesiologist assistant in the State shall meet the followingcriteria:
(1) Satisfy the NorthCarolina Medical Board that the applicant is of good moral character.
(2) Submit to the Boardproof of completion of a graduate level training program accredited by theCommission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or itssuccessor organization.
(3) Submit to the Boardproof of current certification from the National Commission of Certification ofAnesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) or its successor organization, includingpassage of a certification examination administered by the NCCAA. The applicantshall take the certification exam within 12 months after completing training.
(4) Meet any additionalqualifications for licensure pursuant to rules adopted by the Board. (2007‑346, s. 9.)
