§ 90‑40. Unauthorized practice; penalty.
If any person shall practice or attempt to practice dentistry in thisState without first having passed the examination and obtained a license fromthe North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners or having obtained a provisionallicense from said Board; or if he shall practice dentistry after March 31 ofeach year without applying for a certificate of renewal of license, as providedin G.S. 90‑31; or shall practice or attempt to practice dentistry whilehis license is revoked, or suspended, or when a certificate of renewal oflicense has been refused; or shall violate any of the provisions of thisArticle for which no specific penalty has been provided; or shall practice orattempt to practice, dentistry in violation of the provisions of this Article;or shall practice dentistry under any name other than his own name, said personshall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor. Each day's violation of this Articleshall constitute a separate offense.
