§ 90‑171.30. Licensure by examination.
At least twice each year the Board shall give an examination, at thetime and place it determines, to applicants for licensure to practice as aregistered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The Board shall adopt rules, notinconsistent with this Article, governing qualifications of applicants, theconduct of applicants during the examination, and the conduct of theexamination. The applicants shall be required to pass the examination requiredby the Board. The Board shall adopt rules which identify the criteria whichmust be met by an applicant in order to be issued a license. When the Boarddetermines that an applicant has met those criteria, passed the requiredexamination, submitted the required fee, and has demonstrated to the Board'ssatisfaction that he or she is mentally and physically competent to practicenursing, the Board shall issue a license to the applicant.
