§83A‑8. Qualification for corporate practice.
(a) Any corporationdesiring to practice architecture in this State shall file corporateapplication on forms provided by the Board, accompanied by the requiredapplication fee. To be eligible for a corporate certificate, the corporationmust meet all requirements of the Professional Corporation Act.
(b) Architecturalcorporations of other states may be granted corporate certificates for practicein this State upon filing application with the Board and satisfying the Boardthat they meet the requirements of subsection (a) above. Such corporationsshall designate the individual or individuals licensed to practice architecturein this State who shall be in responsible charge of all architectural workoffered or performed by such corporation in this State. Such corporations shallnotify the Board of changes in such designation.
(c) All corporationsholding corporate certificates from the Board shall be subject to theapplicable rules and regulations adopted by the Board, and to all thedisciplinary powers applicable to individual licensees who are officers oremployees of the corporation. Corporations may perform no acts or thingsforbidden to officers or employees as licensees. (1979, c. 871, s. 1.)
