§ 7A‑141. Designation of chief judge; assignment of judge to another district fortemporary or specialized duty.
When more than one judge is authorized in a district, the Chief Justiceof the Supreme Court shall designate one of the judges as chief district judgeto serve in such capacity at the pleasure of the Chief Justice. In a singlejudge district, the judge is the chief district judge.
The Chief Justice may transfer a district judge from one district toanother for temporary or specialized duty. (1965, c. 310, s. 1.)
