§63‑91. General Assembly review and approval.
The Division of Aviation ofthe Department of Transportation shall bring before the General Assembly or theJoint Legislative Commission on Governmental Operations all applications to theFederal Aviation Administration and all proposed rule changes by the FederalAviation Administration for the creation of or changes in special useairspaces, including military operation areas and restricted areas for aircraftoperation over North Carolina during the period for public comment. If theGeneral Assembly is in session during that period, information on the pendingapplication or rule change shall be presented to the standing TransportationCommittees of the House of Representatives and the Senate. If the commentperiod occurs when the General Assembly is not in session then the Division ofAviation of the Department of Transportation shall bring the relevantinformation before the Joint Legislative Commission on GovernmentalOperations. The General Assembly or the Joint Legislative Commission onGovernmental Operations will then review and comment on those applications. (1987,c. 494, s. 1.)
