§ 62‑202. Baggageand freight to be carefully handled.
All common carriers shall handle with care all baggage and freightplaced with them for transportation, and they shall be liable in damages forany and all injuries to the baggage or freight of persons from whom they havecollected fare or charged freight while the same is under their control. Uponproof of injury to baggage or freight in the possession or under the control ofany such carrier, it shall be presumed that the injury was caused by the negligenceof the carrier.
