§58‑65‑145. Preexisting hospital service corporations.
No corporations organizedunder the laws of this State prior to the ratification of this Article andArticle 66 of this Chapter, for the purposes herein provided, shall be requiredto reincorporate as provided for herein, and the provisions of this Article andArticle 66 of this Chapter shall apply to said corporations only with regard tooperations by said corporations with respect to subscribers' contracts,participating hospital contracts, reserves, investments, reports, visitations,expenses, taxation, amendments to charters, supervision of Commissioner ofInsurance, application for certificate, issuance of certificates, licensing ofagents after the date of the passage of this Article and Article 66 of thisChapter, provided, however, as soon as practical hereafter and in accordancewith rules and regulations adopted by the Commissioner of Insurance saidcorporations shall conform to this Article and Article 66 of this Chapter asnear as practical with respect to subscribers' contracts, endorsements, riders,and applications entered into prior to the ratification of this Article andArticle 66 of this Chapter.
