§58‑64‑75. Criminal penalties.
Any person who willfully andknowingly violates any provision of this Article is guilty of a Class 1misdemeanor. The Commissioner may refer such evidence as is availableconcerning violation of the Article or of any rule or order hereunder to theAttorney General or a district attorney who may, with or without such referenceinstitute the appropriate criminal proceedings under this Article. Nothing inthis Article limits the power of the State to punish any person for any conductthat constitutes a crime under any other statute. (1989, c. 758, s. 1; 1993, c.539, s. 469; 1994, Ex.
