§ 58‑33A‑25. (Effective July 1, 2010) Examination.
(a) An individualapplying for a public adjuster license under this act shall pass a writtenexamination unless exempt pursuant to G.S. 58‑33A‑30. Theexamination shall test the knowledge of the individual concerning the dutiesand responsibilities of a public adjuster and the insurance laws andregulations of this State. Examinations required by this section shall bedeveloped and conducted under rules and regulations prescribed by theCommissioner.
(b) The Commissionermay make arrangements, including contracting with an outside testing service,for administering examinations and collecting the nonrefundable fee set forthin G.S. 58‑33‑125.
(c) Each individualapplying for an examination shall remit a nonrefundable fee as prescribed bythe Commissioner as set forth in G.S. 58‑33‑125.
(d) An individual whofails to appear for the examination as scheduled or fails to pass theexamination shall reapply for an examination and remit all required fees andforms before being rescheduled for another examination. (2009‑565, s. 1.)
