§58‑3‑145. Solicitation, negotiation or payment of premiums oninsurance policies.
An insurer, agent, or brokermay accept payment of an insurance premium by credit card if the insureraccepting payment by credit card meets the following conditions:
(1) The insurer makespayment by credit card available to all existing and prospective insureds anddoes not limit the use of credit card payments to certain persons.
(2) The insurer pays thefees charged by the credit card company for the payment of premiums by creditcard. (1967, c. 1245; 1979, c. 528; 1991, c. 720, s. 7; 1999‑365,s. 1.)
