§58‑24‑160. Licensing of agents.
(a) Agents of societiesshall be licensed in accordance with the provisions of the general insurancelaws regulating the licensing, revocation, suspension or termination of licenseof resident and nonresident agents; provided that agents licensed pursuant toformer G.S. 58‑268 as of July 1, 1977, shall be exempt from examination.
(b) No examination orlicense shall be required of any regular salaried officer, employee or memberof a licensed society who devotes substantially all of his or her services toactivities other than the solicitation of fraternal insurance contracts fromthe public, and who receives for the solicitation of such contracts nocommission or other compensation directly dependent upon the amount of businessobtained.
