§ 48A‑17. Talent agencycontracts.
(a) As used in thisArticle, the term "talent agency" means a person or corporation whoengages in the occupation of procuring, offering, promising, or attempting toprocure employment or engagements for an artist or artists. Talent agenciesmay, in addition, counsel or direct artists in the development of theirprofessional careers.
(b) As used in thisArticle, the term "artists" means actors and actresses renderingservices on the legitimate stage and in the production of motion pictures,radio artists, musical artists, musical organizations, directors of legitimatestage, motion picture and radio productions, musical directors, writers,cinematographers, composers, lyricists, arrangers, models, and other artistsand persons rendering professional services in motion picture, theatrical,radio, television, and other entertainment enterprises.
