§47‑56. Before justices of peace, where clerk's certificate or order ofregistration defective.
In every case where it appearsfrom the record of the office of any register of deeds in this State that ajustice of the peace in this State or any other state of the United States, hastaken and certified the proof of any instrument required by the law to beregistered, or the privy examination of a married woman thereto, and the deedand certificate have been registered prior to the first day of January, 1963,in the county where the lands described in the instrument are located, withouta certificate or with a defective certificate of the clerk of the officialcharacter of the justice, or as to the genuineness of his signature, or withoutthe order of registration of the clerk, or his adjudication of due probate, orwith a defective adjudication thereof, such proofs, certificates andregistration are hereby validated.
