§47‑36. Errors in registration corrected on petition to clerk.
Every person who discoversthat there is an error in the registration of his grant, conveyance, bill ofsale or other instrument of writing, may prefer a petition to the clerk of thesuperior court of the county in which said writing is registered, in the samemanner as is directed for petitioners to correct errors in grants or patents,and if on hearing the same before said clerk it appears that errors have beencommitted, the clerk shall order the register of the county to correct sucherrors and make the record conformable to the original. The petitioner mustnotify his grantor and every person claiming title to or having lands adjoiningthose mentioned in the petition, 30 days previous to preferring the same.
