§47‑30.1. Plats and subdivisions; alternative requirements.
In a county to which theprovisions of G.S. 47‑30 do not apply, any person, firm or corporationowning land may have a plat thereof recorded in the office of the register ofdeeds if such land or any part thereof is situated in the county, upon proofupon oath by the surveyor making such plat or under whose supervision such platwas made that the same is in all respects correct according to the best of hisknowledge and belief and was prepared from an actual survey by him made, ormade under his supervision, giving the date of such survey, or if the surveyormaking such plat is dead, or where land has been sold and conveyed according toan unrecorded plat, upon the oath of a duly licensed surveyor that said map isin all respects correct according to the best of his knowledge and belief andthat the same was actually and fully checked and verified by him, giving thedate on which the same was verified and checked.
