§25C‑12. Sale by artist; consignments.
(a) The disclosurerequirements of this Article do not apply to a sale of a print by the artistwho produced the print, directly to a purchaser, without the intervention of awholesale or retail merchant, unless the artist is an art dealer within thedefinition of G.S. 25C‑10(2)a. or unless the artist consigns a print ofhis own creation.
(b) An artist or artdealer who consigns a print to an art dealer for the purpose of effecting asale of such print shall have no liability to a purchaser under this Article ifsuch consignor, as to the consignee, has complied with the disclosurerequirements of this Article. (1989, c. 464, s. 1.)
