§25‑9‑526. Filing‑office rules.
(a) Adoption of filing‑officerules. The Secretary of State shall adopt and publish rules to implement theSecretary of State's responsibilities under this Part. The filing‑officerules must be consistent with this Article.
(b) Harmonization ofrules. To keep the filing‑office rules and practices of the filingoffice in harmony with the rules and practices of filing offices in otherjurisdictions that enact substantially this Part, and to keep the technologyused by the filing office compatible with the technology used by filing officesin other jurisdictions that enact substantially this Part, the Secretary ofState, so far as is consistent with the purposes, policies, and provisions ofthis Article, in adopting, amending, and repealing filing‑office rules,may:
(1) Consult with filingoffices in other jurisdictions that enact substantially this Part;
(2) Consult the mostrecent version of the Model Rules promulgated by the International Associationof Corporate Administrators or any successor organization; and
(3) Take intoconsideration the rules and practices of, and the technology used by, filingoffices in other jurisdictions that enact substantially this Part. (2000‑169,s. 1.)
