§23‑35. Continuance granted for cause.
When it appears to the courtthat any debtor, who may have given bond for his appearance under this chapter,is prevented from attending court by sickness or other sufficient cause, thecase shall be continued to another day, or to the next term, when the sameproceedings shall be had as if the debtor had appeared according to thecondition of his bond, and in the event of his death in the meantime, his bondshall be discharged.
