§ 166A‑10. Establishment of mutual aid agreements.
(a) The Governor mayestablish mutual aid agreements with other states and with the federalgovernment provided that any special agreements so negotiated are within theGovernor's authority.
(a1) The Governor mayestablish mutual aid agreements with political subdivisions in the State withthe concurrence of the subdivision's governing body.
(b) The chief executiveof each political subdivision, with the concurrence of the subdivision'sgoverning body, may develop mutual aid agreements for reciprocal emergencymanagement aid and assistance. Such agreements shall be consistent with theState emergency management program and plans.
(c) The chief executiveofficer of each political subdivision, with the concurrence of the governingbody and subject to the approval of the Governor, may enter into mutual aidagreements with local chief executive officers in other states for reciprocalemergency management aid and assistance. These agreements shall be consistent withthe State emergency management program and plans.
(d) Mutual aidagreements may include but are not limited to the furnishing or exchange ofsuch supplies, equipment, facilities, personnel and services as may be needed;the reimbursement of costs and expenses for equipment, supplies, personnel andsimilar items; and on such terms and conditions as deemed necessary.
