§ 143B‑89. NorthCarolina State Art Society, Incorporated.
The North Carolina State ArtSociety, Incorporated, shall continue to be under the patronage of the State asprovided in Article 3 of Chapter 140 of the General Statutes of North Carolina.The governing body of the North Carolina State Art Society, Incorporated, shallbe a board of directors consisting of a minimum of 22 members as follows: theGovernor, the Superintendent of Public Instruction, the State Treasurer,Secretary of Cultural Resources, and the Director of the North Carolina Museumof Art, who shall be ex officio members; six members who shall be named by theGovernor; and a minimum of 12 directors who shall be chosen by members of theNorth Carolina State Art Society, Incorporated, in such manner and for suchterms as that body shall determine.
