§ 143B‑85. America's Four Hundredth AnniversaryCommittee creation, powers and duties.
There is hereby created the America's Four Hundredth AnniversaryCommittee of the Department of Cultural Resources. The Committee shall have thefollowing functions and duties:
(1) To advise the Secretary of the Department on the planning,conducting, and directing appropriate observances of, and on providingnecessary physical facilities and other requirements for, the commemoration ofthe landing of Sir Walter Raleigh's colony on Roanoke Island; and
(2) To advise the Secretary of the Department upon any matterthe Secretary might refer to it. (1973, c. 476, s. 74.)
