§ 143B‑385. State Youth Advisory Council creation; powers and duties.
There is hereby created the State Youth Advisory Council of theDepartment of Administration. The State Youth Advisory Council shall have thefollowing functions and duties:
(1) To advise the youth councils of North Carolina;
(2) To encourage State and local councils to take active part ingovernmental and civic affairs, promote and participate in leadership andcitizenship programs, and cooperate with other youth‑oriented groups;
(3) To receive on behalf of the Department of Administration andto recommend expenditure of gifts and grants from public and private donors;
(4) To establish procedures for the election of its youthrepresentatives by the State Youth Council; and
(5) To advise the Secretary of Administration upon any matterthe Secretary may refer to it. (1975, c. 879, s. 26.)
