§ 143B‑164.17. When clothing, etc., for pupils paid for by county.
Where it shall appear to the satisfaction of the director of socialservices and the chairman of the board of county commissioners of any county inthis State that the parents of any blind child residing in such county are thenunable to provide such child with clothing or traveling expenses or both to andfrom the Governor Morehead School, or where such child has no living parent, orany estate of his own, or any person, or persons, upon which he is legallydependent who are able to provide expenses for such transportation andclothing, then upon the demand of the institution which such child attends orhas been accepted for attendance, the board of county commissioners of thecounty in which such child resides shall pay to the proper institution anamount sufficient to clothe and pay traveling expenses of said child.
