§ 143B‑124. Designation of organization as official distributing agent; duties.
Guided by the standards set out in G.S. 143B‑123, the board ofcounty commissioners of each county shall designate to the Department ofCultural Resources an organization to serve as its distributing agent forGrassroots Arts Program funds. Upon the approval of the Department of CulturalResources, the designated organization shall become the official distributingagent for that county and shall remain so until such time as it no longer meetsthe necessary standards. To receive its per capita funds, the officialdistributing agent must annually submit to the Department of Cultural Resourcesfor its approval a plan for the expenditure of the funds allotted to thatcounty and must account for the funds after they have been expended. Funds maybe used for programming, administrative and operating expenses, and shouldassist in the total development of the arts within that county. (1977, c. 1008, s. 4.)
