§ 14‑406. Dealer tokeep record of sales; exception.
(a) Every dealer inpistols and other weapons mentioned in this Article shall keep an accuraterecord of all sales thereof, including the name, place of residence, date ofsale, etc., of each person, firm, or corporation to whom or which such salesare made, which record shall be open to the inspection of any duly constitutedState, county or police officer, within this State.
(b) This section doesnot apply to any of the following:
(1) A manufacturer ofcrossbows.
(2) A wholesale dealerof crossbows for any sale that is either to another wholesale dealer ofcrossbows or to a retail dealer of crossbows. (1919, c. 197, s. 5; C.S., s. 5110; 1987, c. 115, s.1; 2009‑6, s. 3.)
