§135‑114. Reciprocity of membership service with the LegislativeRetirement System and the Consolidated Judicial Retirement System.
Only for the purpose ofdetermining eligibility for benefits accruing under this Article, membershipservice standing to the credit of a member of the Legislative Retirement Systemor the Consolidated Judicial Retirement System shall be added to the membershipservice standing to the credit of a member of the Teachers' and StateEmployees' Retirement System. However, in the event that a participant orbeneficiary is a retired member of the Legislative Retirement System or theConsolidated Judicial Retirement System whose retirement benefit was suspendedupon entrance into membership in the Teachers' and State Employees' RetirementSystem, such membership service standing to the credit of the retired memberprior to retirement shall be likewise counted. Membership service under thissection shall not be counted twice for the same period of time. (1993(Reg. Sess., 1994), c. 769, s. 7.30(q).)
