§ 130A‑433. Contractsfor purchase of vaccines; distribution; fee; rules.
(a) Notwithstanding anylaw to the contrary, the Secretary may enter into contracts with themanufacturers and suppliers of covered vaccines and with other public entitieseither within or without the State for the purchase of covered vaccines and mayprovide for the distribution or sale of the covered vaccines to health careproviders. Local health departments shall distribute the covered vaccines atthe request of the Department. The Secretary shall adopt rules to implementthis Article except for subsection (b) of this section.
(b) Except as otherwiseprovided in G.S. 130A‑153(a), a health care provider who receives vaccinefrom the State may charge no more than a reasonable fee established by theCommission for Public Health for the administration of the vaccine.
