§ 122A‑16. Oversight bycommittees of General Assembly; annual reports.
The Finance Committee of theHouse of Representatives and the Finance Committee of the Senate shall exercisecontinuing oversight of the Agency in order to assure that the Agency is effectivelyfulfilling its statutory purpose; provided, however, that nothing in thisChapter shall be construed as required by the Agency to receive legislativeapproval for the exercise of any of the powers granted by this Chapter. TheAgency shall, promptly following the close of each fiscal year, submit anannual report of its activities for the preceding year to the Governor, theOffice of State Budget and Management, State Auditor, the aforementionedcommittees of the General Assembly and the Local Government Commission. Eachsuch report shall set forth a complete operating and financial statement of theAgency during such year. The Agency shall cause an audit of its books andaccounts to be made at least once in each year by an independent certified publicaccountant and the cost thereof may be paid from any available moneys of theAgency. The Agency shall on January 1 and July 1 of each year submit a writtenreport of its activities to the Joint Legislative Commission on GovernmentalOperations. The Agency shall also at the end of each fiscal year submit awritten report of its budget expenditures by line item to the Joint LegislativeCommission on Governmental Operations.
