§ 115C‑156. State funds for vocational andtechnical education.
It is the intent of the General Assembly of North Carolina toappropriate funds for each fiscal year to support the purposes of vocationaland technical education as set forth in G.S. 115C‑151. From fundsappropriated, the State Board of Education shall establish a sum of money forState administration of vocational and technical education and shall allocatethe remaining sum on an equitable basis to local school administrative units,except that a contingency fund is established to correct excess deviations thatmay occur during the regular school year. In the administration of State funds,the State Board of Education shall adopt such policies and procedures asnecessary to ensure that the funds appropriated are used for the purpose statedin this Part and consistent with the policy set forth in the Master Plan forVocational Education.
